Meet Your Optometrists
Dr. Dean P. Le is a graduate of Nova Southeastern University of Optometry with over ten years of experience in all aspects of optometric care, including diagnosis and treatment of vision problems and ocular health. He is clinically licensed in the use of therapeutic and diagnostic ocular diseases. He is also certified to perform Corneal Refractive Therapy (CRT), and well experienced in Specialty Therapeutic Contact Lenses. He also co-manages in the process of cataract surgery and performs Laser Vision Correction consultations. Dr. Le is a member of the Santa Clara County Optometric Society and the California and American Optometric Associations.
Dr. Roshni Shah was born in India and moved to the Bay Area after graduating from Optometry School in Mumbai, India. She finished her Doctor of Optometry degree with honors from Western University of Health Sciences in Los Angeles. Dr. Shah’s focus is on Dry Eye Management, Myopia Control Management, and Glaucoma Management. She is a member of the American Optometric Association, California Optometry Association, and the Chair of the young OD Group of the Santa Clara County Optometry Society. Dr. Shah has been part of our team for more than 2 years now.
Dr. Shah is fluent in English, Hindi, and Gujarati.
In her free time, Dr. Shah likes to spend time with friends and family going hiking, dancing, eating in local restaurants and traveling.
Dr. Du can perform optometric exams in Vietnamese and knows some Spanish and Chinese (Cantonese). In her free time, she enjoys trying new foods, walking with her two dogs, and spending time with friends and family.
Dr. Emiko Vasquez knew she wanted to be an optometrist when she was in elementary school. After graduating high school in Fremont, CA, Dr. Vasquez went on to earn her Bachelor’s degree with Cum Laude Honors in Sociology with a minor in Biology at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, CA. While finishing her Bachelor’s degree, Dr. Vasquez was accepted as an early decision applicant to the Southern California College of Optometry at Marshall B. Ketchum University.
While in optometry school, Dr. Vasquez pursued her passion for healthcare equality by volunteering at several community health clinics including Care Harbor, Special Olympics, and Student Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity. Dr. Vasquez also has been honored to receive several awards including the Council of Regents Achievement Award for clinical excellence, Dr. Geraldine J. Sherman Memorial Scholarship for leadership, and the Vision Services Plan (VSP) and American Academy of Optometry Foundation (AAOF) Practice Excellence Scholarship.
After completing her Doctor of Optometry with summa cum laude honors, Dr. Vasquez pursued a residency in vision therapy and neuro-rehabilitation. During her residency, she diagnosed and managed a variety of patients with strabismus (eye turn), amblyopia (‘lazy’ eye), and convergence insufficiency.
Dr. Vasquez cares for patients of all ages with the goal of helping them live their lives free of visual burdens. Outside of optometry, she enjoys working out, spending time with family and friends, and trying new places to eat.
Dr. Shireen Haghshenas is a Bay Area native, born and raised in the South Bay. After graduating high school in Saratoga, CA, she received her Bachelor of Science in Cognitive Science with an emphasis in neuroscience from UC Davis, with honors. She then earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from UC Berkeley. She has completed externships at the Stanford Byers Eye Institute, San Francisco VA Medical Center, and Hayward Wellness Center.
Dr. Haghshenas is passionate about ocular disease management, specialty contact lenses, dry eye management, and vision therapy/binocular vision disorders. She also really enjoys working with kids! She is a member of the American Optometric Association and California Optometric Association, and can perform optometric exams in English, Farsi, and Spanish.
In her free time, Dr. Haghshenas enjoys hiking, finding new food spots to try, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.
